Office Gifts – What to Give

            You spend as much time with the people in your office as you do with your own family.  Some of those people you may have build great relationships with, and you want to get them something truly special.  Since careers are now a bigger part of a person's life than they were 30 or even 15 years ago, the gift ideas have changed a lot.  People are choosing more and more to focus on their career before they decide to have a family, and more people have office type jobs where they interact with their co-workers more than they ever have before.  Some of your co-workers are probably some of your best friends.  This is why the perfect gift is so important.  You don't have to settle for purchasing everyone in the office the same corny cheese and jelly baskets.  You do have options.

            For your managers, senior managers and bosses, you want to give something stylish, classy and enjoyable.  Think about their personalities.  Are they the kind of guys that should probably be wearing a 'rather be fishing' sign on their backs?  Are they the kind of women that trade their business suits for gardening clothes every chance they get?  Try finding them a great desk item that they will proudly display for employees, clients or customers to see.  For the men, you may do some kind of sports figurine, and for the women, a frame to place their family's picture in.  The most important thing is to really skip the generic and go for something more suited to their personalities.

            For your co-workers, you want to really try and decide on something that will be loved and that will pleasantly surprise them.  Also, it's great to give them something that they can use at work.  A beautiful paper weight is a great idea.  Just try to find something that really matches their personality.  You could also go for a desk pen set.  This is something you know will come in handy and will be utilized.  A desk set that will look great on their desktop is a great idea.  This way, they have something to use at work that is truly nice and useful.  This kind of thing is great, because it's something you can purchase for all of your co-workers, but you are still able to find different types for your individual co-worker's personality.
